Michelle co-founded SKH in 2011 after experiencing the same organizational restructuring that many of our clients are tasked with working through. Her firsthand understanding of the emotional impact of difficult HR decisions combined with her 20+ years of executive leadership, business consulting and community stewardship skills make her a strong ally for organizations and individuals alike.

The daughter of a career Navy officer, Michelle acquired a deep understanding of culture and diversity early in life as she grew up in different countries throughout Europe. Michelle’s innate ability to develop talent, and lead people and teams, enabled her to rise through the ranks at Hannaford Supermarkets. As Vice President of Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development and Learning, Michelle provided strategic human resources counsel to the senior leadership team, directed restructuring initiatives and managed hundreds of associate relations professionals across the organization. After Hannaford was acquired by the Delhaize Group, Michelle expanded her experience by successfully collaborating with cross-cultural teams on three continents.

Since 2011, Michelle has provided a variety of HR consulting services including executive coaching and talent development, recruitment, outplacement and career counseling, performance management, facilitation and organizational development.  A natural problem solver, Michelle earns trust quickly so she can advise her clients as efficiently as possible. In addition to retail, Michelle has experience working with organizations and individuals in biotech, financial services, manufacturing and healthcare.

Michelle earned a BS degree in Business Management from Thomas College and completed the Babson College School of Executive Development. She has studied extensively with the National Training Laboratories (NTL) Institute and is a certified LEA 360 facilitator.

Michelle has been an active and passionate community leader throughout her career. She is a past Chair of the Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Board of Directors where she continues to serve as a Director. Michelle serves as an Olympia Snowe Leadership Advisor mentoring high school girls in Maine. Past Board Director roles include: Kids First Center, Cumberland County YMCA, Thomas College, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Camp Ketcha, and Fiddlehead Center for the Arts.

Michelle lives in Scarborough with her family and enjoys travel, new experiences, volunteering, winter weekends at Saddleback Mountain and as many days as possible on the beaches and trails of her beloved Maine.
